What it raises
+30% ranged damage. A buff like this only reaches hits of that kind, so each class's damage splits in two. The area damage on the units around a target has a kind of its own, often not the hit's, so one gun can land on both sides. A hit the map deals from a unit it drops on the target belongs to that unit, not to you: it gets Veteran only when the map copies it over.
